Innovation lives at ATSSA's Annual Convention & Traffic Expo

Newest products and services that advance the roadway safety industry recognized in San Antonio

Exhibiting companies at ATSSA’s 48th Annual Convention & Traffic Expo are some of the biggest names in the roadway safety and infrastructure industry. Their products and services help to advance our nation’s transportation network—making it more efficient and safe for all users. In an effort to recognize these companies and their contributions, the association annually holds ATSSA’s New Products Rollout and the ATSSA Innovation Awards.

Nine exhibitors will participate in ATSSA’s New Products Rollout during ATSSA’s 48th Annual Convention & Traffic Expo at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, from Jan. 26 to 30. During this event on Sunday, Jan. 28, participants will demonstrate their products’ capabilities and innovation during an on-camera interview on the show floor of Traffic Expo, in Room 214. Interviews will be edited into one “New Products Rollout” video, which will be broadcast on television monitors during the event to highlight new products, companies and booths to all convention attendees during the week.

ATSSA’s Innovation Awards recognize the top three innovative products at Traffic Expo selected by a group of public transportation officials. The criteria for selection include lifesaving qualities, degree of need, innovation and design and eligibility under the Highway Safety Improvement Program. The judges can award bonus points in several different areas and will visit each of the exhibitors participating in the event during official exhibit hours on Sunday, Jan. 28, to evaluate and examine the new product or service.

The 2018 ATSSA Innovation Award winners will be announced during ATSSA’s Circle of Innovation on Monday, Jan. 29, between 8:30 and 10 a.m., followed by a Recognition Ceremony, which will be held in the ATSSA Pavilion on the Traffic Expo floor, booth #534, between 11:30 to 11:45 a.m.
