Young Industry Professionals
As part of ATSSA’s ongoing commitment to drive the future of roadway safety infrastructure, a Young Industry Professionals (YIP) task force has been formed. The YIP initiative kicked off at ATSSA’s 49th Annual Convention & Traffic Expo in Tampa, Florida.
Currently made up of YIP members from companies around the country, the task force has the goal of engaging younger individuals under 40 in the roadway safety infrastructure industry. The YIP group can provide a lot of personal and professional opportunities for its young members.
Word of mouth about the program and bringing in younger members are important parts of the initiative. Companies with full ATSSA membership can have as many employees as they want within their company added to their membership record, as well as its younger employees, giving them the opportunity to get involved.
A YIP networking reception was held during the 50th Annual Traffic Convention & Expo in New Orleans. More information can be found on the Convention & Traffic Expo website.
